AARP Wisconsin: Grants will help Wisconsin communities fund local projects

MADISON, WISCONSIN – Four organizations in three Wisconsin communities, including Spooner, Cuba City and Milwaukee, are among 184 projects across the country that will receive 2020 Community Challenge grants totaling more than $2.4 million this year, AARP Wisconsin State Director Sam Wilson announced today. Wisconsin sees local testing supply shortages; health officials weigh in

An increase in turnaround time for COVID-19 test results in pockets across the state and a decline in overall testing are due to a stressed supply chain, according to state health leaders. Rural hospitals feel financial pressure as Medicaid reimbursement uncertainty rises

Wisconsin’s rural hospitals are feeling financial pressure as both COVID-19 in rural communities and uncertainty around Medicaid reimbursements are rising. Most, but certainly not all, rural hospitals in the state are nearly back to pre-COVID service levels, according to Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative Executive Director Tim Size.
