WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) helped introduce the Coronavirus Unemployment Benefits Tax Relief Act, legislation led by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) that would provide additional financial relief to unemployed Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic by temporarily excluding the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation from federal income taxes for tax year 2020.
