Pollsters say Biden gaining ground among seniors, 2016 third-party voters

Joe Biden leads Donald Trump by three points among likely Wisconsin voters aged 50 and over, according to a poll by AARP and the Benenson Strategy Group and discussed at Day 1 of the WisPolitics.com Midwest Polling Summit. Forty-nine percent of that demographic backed the Dem nominee while 46 percent favored the president, within the 3.8 percent margin of error. The new poll finds the race is one point closer than in AARP‘s Wisconsin survey last month. That poll had Biden at 50 percent, Trump unchanged at 46 percent. The poll did not ask about third party candidates — respondents were instead

WisDems: Statement on Eric Trump visit to Wisconsin

(WISCONSIN) — In response to Eric Trump’s upcoming visit to Wisconsin, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement: “Every visit from the Trump campaign is just another reminder of the president’s total failure in the face of the pandemic. Even as Wisconsin cases skyrocket, there is still no national strategy to confront the pandemic. Between the Trump campaign actively disregarding public safety, and Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature sabotaging any coordinated response to stop COVID-19, Wisconsinites recognize that Republicans have put politics over peoples’ lives at every turn and will hold them accountable for the next 22

Reggie Jackson: I can’t find any common ground with racists

I have no love for racists. I don’t care about finding common ground with them. I think it is a fool’s errand to do so. If that racist person finds the moral compass which allows them to do what Frank Meeink did and disavow their racist views and redeem themselves in a real way, then I can find common ground with them. I will not do so prematurely.
