Possible presidential race recount would likely wrap up first week of December, top election official says

A potential recount of last week’s presidential election would likely wrap up in the first week of December, according to a timeline laid out today by the state’s top election official. Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe told reporters today she anticipated some counties would take until the Tuesday deadline to canvass election results and turn them over to the state. Biden, Trump add votes as county canvass results trickle in

Both Joe Biden and President Trump picked up four votes as canvasses from four more counties trickled in Thursday. The state Elections Commission website as of 7:15 a.m. showed updates from Forrest, Jefferson, Juneau and Walworth counties. Biden has picked up 120 votes through the county-level certification process while Trump has added 39. Overall, 59 of the state’s 72 counties have finished certifying results tallied on election night by municipalities. MADISON, Wis. – As Wisconsin hunters prepare to head out for the nine-day gun deer season opening on Saturday, Nov. 21, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds hunters that registration is mandatory and easier than ever before. Hunters should be aware of the zone, deer management unit and land type on their antlerless deer harvest authorizations and be prepared to follow all regulations. Each deer hunting license comes with a buck harvest authorization valid for harvesting one buck in any Deer Management Unit (DMU) statewide.
