In response to Republican smears against Joe Biden, American Bridge 21st Century is adding nearly $1 million to its $25 million ad buy and launching new ads targeting seniors and small-town, rural voters necessary to Donald Trump’s re-election efforts. The 60-second ads feature a teacher and former Trump voter sharing her disappointment in Trump’s handling of the coronavirus and for politicizing re-opening schools this fall. The ads will be delivered in targeted media markets in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
An example of the ads can be viewed here:
“We are going to make damn sure that Joe Biden has the air cover he needs to deliver his message and combat blatant smears from Donald Trump and his allies,” said American Bridge 21st Century President Bradley Beychok. “The American people know Trump’s disinformation and mismanagement are preventing the safe re-opening of the economy and schools this fall. We will continue to lift up the stories of Americans hurt by the crisis his failed leadership has created and do everything in our power to elect Joe Biden this November.”
Since American Bridge 21st Century’s Swing County Project began running TV, digital, and radio ads in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan last November, Trump’s margins with seniors and white working-class voters have plummeted. Biden is now leading by double digits with seniors and is the clear favorite to carry all three states. After a shakeup in leadership and a pause in TV ads, the Trump campaign recently announced their rebooted paid media plan. Missing from their buy? Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
