Evers to deliver State of the State, budget addresses virtually

Gov. Tony Evers plans to deliver his State of the State and budget addresses virtually.
Evers announced today he wants to deliver the State of the State address at 7 p.m. on Jan. 12 and his budget address at 7 p.m. on Feb. 16.
He sent a letter to Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, and Senate President-elect Chris Kapenga, R-Delafield, on Nov. 25 outlining his plans.
In the letter, Evers noted he’s spent the better part of the year encouraging Wisconsinites to stay home, practice social distancing and limit gatherings to combat the spread of COVID-19.
