Franklin, WI. – Forward Latino, Inc., a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy and service organization dedicated to assisting Latinos pursuing the American Dream, will have teams of election observers visiting polling sites throughout the state of Wisconsin on election day to ensure fair and equal access to the polls and to ensure election law is being followed.
Darryl Morin, National President of Forward Latino stated “We have sent out letters of notice to municipal election clerks to the cities and villages that have the highest Latino voter concentrations in Wisconsin. These letter serve as formal notice that Forward Latino will have observers present at a number of their polling places in their municipality. Our goal is to ensure all eligible voters are able to vote in accordance with the law and are able to do so free of any voter intimidation. Should any inappropriate process be identified or acts of intimidation be identified, we will be prepared to act using a variety of responses ranging from the filing of a formal complaint to taking legal action.”
