Green Bay, WI – This morning, the campaign for Wisconsin Congressman Mike Gallagher released its final television advertisement of the 2020 election cycle. The advertisement, titled “Greater Good,” will air over the next two weeks online, on cable, and on broadcast television in Northeast Wisconsin
The ad features Congressman Gallagher and his wife, De Pere native Anne Horak, discussing his commitment to serve our country and his service to our community by helping Wisconsinites overcome the challenges presented by COVID-19. Gallagher, who is pictured with his newborn daughter Grace, joined the United States Marine Corps on the day he graduated college and completed tours in the Middle East and Northern Africa, rising to the rank of Captain.

MIKE GALLAGHER: “I mean, the reason that I joined the Marine Corps was to pay back a debt I felt I owed to this community.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congressman Gallagher has taken a number of steps to help Northeast Wisconsin. He secured 100,000 surgical grade face masks after working directly with Taiwanese officials, provided $200,000 in contributions from his re-election campaign to local organizations on the front lines of the Coronavirus health response, and partnered with the Brown County Health Department to collect thousands of pieces of PPE.
Congressman Gallagher was first elected to represent the 8th Congressional District in 2016, winning his first campaign by 25%. In 2018, he won re-election by 27% over Democrat attorney Beau Liegeois. Gallagher and his wife Anne reside in Allouez, Wisconsin, with their daughter Grace.
