RACHAEL CABRAL GUEVARA ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN FOR 55TH AD
Entrepreneur, Family Nurse Practitioner, UW-Oshkosh Lecturer Launches Bid for State
Assembly
[FOX CROSSING, WI] Rachael Cabral Guevara today announced her campaign for the 55th
Assembly District with a focus on building a strong economy and keeping taxes in check as
Wisconsin families faced the largest property tax increase in a decade.
Rachael Cabral Guevara is an entrepreneur, family nurse practitioner and senior lecturer at UW-
Oshkosh. State Rep. Mike Rohrkaste (R-Neenah) announced in 2019 that he would not seek
reelection to the 55th Assembly District.
“Every day families are making the tough decisions on how to pay their mortgages and taxes,
save for college and put food on the table. State government must learn to be efficient without
putting additional burdens on hard working families,” said Cabral Guevara. “As a nurse,
entrepreneur and mom, I want to take my real life experience to Madison to ensure Wisconsin
has a bright future that isn’t plagued by debt and a stagnant economy. I started a business from
scratch and have advised others in the field on how to launch a company. I know first-hand the
challenges of building a successful business and how the government can either hinder or
assist in job development.”
Rachael Cabral Guevara is the owner/manager of Nurse Practitioner Health Services LLC
(NPHS), which provides direct access healthcare to families with high deductibles or no
insurance. NPHS provides house calls, nursing services, labs, X-ray, and a full services clinic in
Appleton and Tomahawk. She earned a Masters in Science Nursing from UW-Milwaukee and a
Bachelors of Science in Nursing from UW-Oshkosh.
“It’s critical that taxpayers have a check and balance against Governor Tony Evers big
spending, big government agenda which would have hiked taxes on job creators and farmers,”
said Cabral Guevara. “I’m especially concerned with Evers serving as governor that we’ll
continue to see government spending explode, which jeopardizes job creation and puts families
in a more difficult position to make ends meet.”
In addition, Cabral Guevara has served as a senior lecturer at UW-Oshkosh for more than a
decade. Her role at UW-Oshkosh includes instructing more than 80 students in classroom
lectures on clinical nursing and conducting clinicals within long term care facilities.
“I also think it’s important to reflect the values Fox Valley families in the legislature. I’m a pro-
life, pro-gun, pro-affordable healthcare, pro-affordbale education Republican that believes our
communities and families are strongest when given the freedom to pursue their dreams,” said
Cabral Guevara.
Cabral Guevara lives in Fox Crossing and is a mother of four, ages 22, 18, 16, 9. She’s a
Neenah Rotary member, volunteer at Alliance Elementary School, has been on discussion
panels for the National Alliance on Mentally Illness and provides lectures for local organizations
on affordable healthcare.
