[Madison, WI] – Today, Supreme Court Justice Daniel Kelly’s campaign announced he has received the endorsement of the Milwaukee Police Association. The Association represents 1,600 brave men and women in the Milwaukee Police Department who put their lives on the line every day to protect the citizens of Wisconsin’s largest city.
“On behalf of the Milwaukee Police Association, we are proud to endorse Justice Daniel Kelly for the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” said MPA President Dale Bormann. “During his time on the Court, Justice Kelly has demonstrated his commitment to protecting the public and keeping Wisconsin families safe by enforcing the laws as they are written.”
“Receiving the endorsement of the Milwaukee Police Association is one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Justice Daniel Kelly. “Our law enforcement officials know better than anyone the importance of having a court that will protect the public by defending the rule of law, and I am grateful they have entrusted me to do exactly that. This endorsement is also especially important to my wife (Elisa), our children, and me. Elisa’s father, Thomas Orlando, was a lifetime Milwaukee police officer. He was a great man who served with honor and commitment, and we loved him deeply. I have been proud these last 30 years to be known as his son-in-law, and I cannot express how profoundly our family is moved by the Milwaukee Police Association’s support and encouragement. To receive its endorsement is an honor of the highest order to our whole family.”
