Former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, who’s widely expected to explore a bid for guv in 2022, is launching a PAC to help GOP legislative candidates this fall.

Kleefsich still had $212,524 in her campaign account at the end of June. A spokesman said Kleefisch will transfer some of that to Rebecca PAC, but has already lined up donors and will continue to fundraise for the effort.

According to today’s announcement, Kleefisch recruited 25 candidates for the Assembly as Republicans lined up 92 for the chamber, the most in 34 years.

“This year we’ll cede no heart, and cede no mind. We’re taking it to Democrats in the
deepest blue districts,” Kleefisch said.
