MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from Adam Gallagher, for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:
“Today, it is my honor to announce an endorsement from Dane County Treasurer Adam Gallagher,” said Sargent. “Adam is a vital asset for our community, as he works to ensure taxpayer equity, fiscal responsibility, and support for Dane County residents,” Sargent continued.
Adam Gallagher has worked as a dedicated public servant since 2005. Prior to his election to Dane County Treasurer in 2013, Gallagher served as a Board of Review Clerk and Deputy Clerk for the City of Madison. In addition to his work on behalf of Dane County, Gallagher was nominated and unanimously elected by his peers as Vice President to the Wisconsin County Treasurers’ Association (WCTA) in 2016, where he advocates for state and local legislative efforts to improve the services of county treasurer’s offices statewide.
“Melissa Sargent has been very supportive of our initiatives to help homeowners get caught up on their taxes and keep their homes. Melissa listens to the needs of the people and works tirelessly on behalf of all of us,” said Gallagher. “One of the reasons Melissa is a terrific representative is her dedication to her constituents. I believe that Melissa is a great voice of the people because she truly cares. I am honored to support Melissa Sargent as our next state senator,” Gallagher continued.
“Adam has served Dane County diligently over the years working proactively to support families, and to provide the utmost resources and services for our community,” said Sargent. “I am proud to have Treasurer Gallagher’s support, and look forward to continuing to work together to improve the financial wellbeing of residents throughout Dane County and our state,” Sargent stated.
