MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm today became the first countywide elected official to endorse in the Milwaukee County Executive’s race by announcing his support of Representative David Crowley.

“David Crowley has a clear understanding of the challenges that this community faces and knows that it is going to take collaboration to fix them. David’s unique background and impressive record in the state legislature make him the clear choice to lead this community forward,” said District Attorney Chisholm. “I know the impact that David’s work around public safety has had at the state level, and I am excited to build on that work with him here in Milwaukee County. I fully endorse Rep. Crowley to be the next Milwaukee County Executive; he’s the right person for this job and I hope others will join me in voting for him on February 18.”

Representative Crowley currently serves Wisconsin’s 17th Assembly District, representing almost 60,000 residents in the State Legislature. As a member of the State Assembly, David sits on the Small Business Development, Workforce Development, Transportation, and Jobs and Economy Committees and is a ranking member on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. He is the Chair of the Milwaukee Caucus, the Chair of the Black Caucus, and the Co-Chair of the Black and Latino Caucus. He also serves as a member of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Board of Directors.

Representative Crowley lives in Milwaukee with his wife, Ericka, and their three young children.
