CRIVITZ, WI – State Representative Jeff Mursau (R-Crivitz) turned in his nomination papers today seeking re-election to the 36th Assembly District. The northern assembly district consists of communities in Forest, Langlade, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto and Shawano Counties.

“I am extremely grateful to all the volunteers who helped gather signatures,” said Mursau.

“The current pandemic made it difficult to connect personally with residents in northern Wisconsin, so I’m deeply humbled by all the support I received.”

Mursau was first elected to the State Assembly in 2004. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation Committee, as well as Chairman of the State And Tribal Relations Committee.

“It has been an honor to serve the wonderful people of northern Wisconsin,” expressed Mursau. “I don’t take for granted the confidence my neighbors have in me and I believe my years of experience will be needed to address the challenges brought on by COVID-19. I will continue to be a strong voice in the legislature for the folks and small businesses in rural Wisconsin.”
