Washington, D.C. — The National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) has invested $150,000 and its 501c4 affiliate, the National Redistricting Action Fund (NRAF), has separately invested $50,000 to help elect Dane County Circuit Court Judge Jill Karofsky to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Karofsky will face Dan Kelly, an incumbent Supreme Court Justice appointed by Scott Walker, in a general election on April 7.
The NDRC has contributed $150,000 to A Better Wisconsin Together Political Fund’s effort to reach people through digital communications that support Judge Karofsky and encourage people to request an absentee ballot to vote at home.
Separately, the National Redistricting Action Fund has contributed $50,000 to support Black Leaders Organizing Communities’ (BLOC) efforts to engage the state’s African-American community through phonebanking and peer-to-peer text messaging.
“I strongly urge the people of Wisconsin to elect Judge Jill Karofsky to serve on the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” said Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States. “Throughout her distinguished career as a judge, prosecutor, and advocate for victims of domestic violence, Judge Karofsky has been a fair and independent voice for the people — not the special interests — of Wisconsin. I’m confident she has the experience and integrity to be an excellent justice.
“To help stop the spread of COVID-19 and practice social distancing, I also strongly encourage the people of Wisconsin to request an absentee ballot before the March 30 deadline so that you can vote at home.”
In response to COVID-19, a federal judge ordered the extension of Wisconsin’s online voter registration to March 30. For more information on registering to vote or filling out an absentee ballot, visit https://myvote.wi.gov/

Our goal is to restore fairness to our democracy and ensure every American has an equal say in our government.
