GOP 7th CD candidate Tom Tiffany says he knows “about holding up under pressure” in a new TV ad that calls him a “dam man.”
The campaign said it’s running districtwide on cable and broadcast TV, but declined to say how much is being spent on the spot.
In the ad, the Minocqua Republican says he’s a proven reformer and the dam tender on the Willow Flowage. The screen notes Tiffany has been endorsed by former GOP U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, former Gov. Scott Walker and the NRA.
He asks for viewers’ support in the Feb. 18 primary because “President Trump needs proven reinforcements in Congress to stem the tide of socialism, to keep our economy flowing strong and because nobody knows how to drain a swamp like a dam man.”
Tiffany faces Jason Church, a former aide to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson and a retired Army captain, in the GOP primary. The general election is May 12.
