MADISON – Assembly Assistant Democratic Leader Representative Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released the following statement on Senator Jennifer Shilling’s decision not to seek re-election:
“Senator Jennifer Shilling is a calm and steady leader that Wisconsin has benefited from for so many years. Her vision for Wisconsin was one of fairness and opportunity for all and it is a vision that will hold strong through the many public servants she inspired to continue fighting for these shared values. Jennifer’s outstanding service to the Wisconsin State Legislature is a shining example of the kind of people we want to represent us throughout this state.
“I wish the best for Jennifer in the coming years and I hope she enjoys spending well-deserved time with her family in the beautiful Coulee Region she has represented so well. Together, we owe Jennifer an incredible debt of gratitude for fighting for the people of Wisconsin every day. In her words, Wisconsin will continue ‘onward, upward, and forward.’”
