Markesan… Joan Ballweg announced today the endorsement of her campaign by Representative Jon Plumer (R-Lodi) who represents the 42nd Assembly District in Southcentral Wisconsin.

“Joan Ballweg has been an asset not only to her constituents in the 41st Assembly District but to her colleagues in the state assembly,” said Plumer. “As a newly elected official, Joan offered her expertise to help mentor me as I entered into public service at the state level. I know she will bring that same expertise with her to the senate and that’s why I’m happy to endorse her for the 14th Senate District.”

“I want to thank Representative Plumer for his endorsement,” said Ballweg. “As his neighbor to the north, Jon has been a valuable partner promoting the interests of the 41st and 42nd Assembly Districts. I look forward to continuing to work together and fighting for the entire 14th Senate District.”

Ballweg was first elected to the state assembly in 2004. Before that she served as Mayor of Markesan where she still resides with her husband, Tom. Together, they own and operate a farm equipment business in Waupun and a lawn equipment store in Beaver Dam.
