La Crosse, WI – Today, Rep. Ron Kind announced the three Wisconsin students, whom he nominated, that have accepted offers of appointment at one of the United States’ Service Academies.

“Every year, the talent and determination of the students seeking nominations to our distinguished Service Academies are overwhelmingly impressive,” said Rep. Ron Kind. “I know the incredible students selected will go on to do great things, receiving an excellent education while serving their country and communities with pride. I look forward to following their successes as they bring their commitment and talent to our nation’s Service Academies.”

Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District Service Academy attendees include:

  • Amanda Schaefbauer, of Nekoosa, plans to attend the United States Air Force Academy
  • Natasha Neve, of Auburndale, plans to attend the United States Naval Academy
  • Isabella Lonetti, of Prescott, plans to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy

Each year, Rep. Ron Kind has the honor of nominating outstanding high school students to four of the five Service Academies. Students who wish to receive a nomination must go through a competitive application process before being selected by a panel of local veterans and community leaders.
