MILWAUKEE, WI – Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s office joined the offices of U.S. Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin, Congressmen Mark Pocan, Glenn Grothman, Bryan Steil, and representatives from all five military academies in holding Milwaukee’s 13th Annual Academy Day at Alexander Hamilton High School on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 9:00 am to 12:00pm.
In response, Congresswoman Moore released the following statement:
“Academy Day is a unique opportunity for interested students to learn more about what it takes to become a U.S. Military Officer. I enjoyed meeting and seeing so many young people passionate and interested in serving our country. Students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from all five U.S. Service Academies (including some current students) about the challenging and rewarding academic and leadership experiences each academy has to offer. I am confident that Academy Day provided information and personal accounts that will help guide students’ decisions.”
