MADISON — This evening, Governor Tony Evers delivered his 2020 State of the State Address in the Wisconsin State Capitol. Rep. Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement in support:

“Over the last year, Wisconsin Democrats partnered with Governor Evers to invest in our kids and schools, develop our infrastructure, and support Wisconsin families. We made a lot of progress, but we still have a lot of work to do in 2020 on the issues Racinians care about,” Neubauer said. “Tonight, I was glad to hear Governor Evers highlighting some of the issues I hear about regularly in Racine as priorities for 2020, including nonpartisan redistricting, healthcare, criminal justice reform, and affordable education.

“While the Legislative Republicans are dragging their heels on these issues, Democrats are fighting for our future,” Neubauer continued. “People in Wisconsin work hard, and they have an expectation that their elected officials are doing all they can to improve the lives of working families. With just a few months left in the session, we still have time to take action on these priorities if the Republicans can put partisanship aside and come to the table.“
