Madison – Representative Todd Novak (Dodgeville) issued the following statement regarding the resignation of Representative John Nygren (Marinette).

“John Nygren is a close friend with an unmatched dedication to public service and the state of Wisconsin. When I was first elected to serve in the Assembly, John was assigned to be my mentor. He introduced me to my colleagues and set an example of how to be an effective and responsive legislator for my district.”

“John was also a leader in our caucus, not only on the state budget, but also on initiatives to combat addiction in our state. He passionately fought for reforms that have saved the lives of countless Wisconsin residents.”

“I wish John the best in his new venture. He will be missed, but his work and successes have no doubt left a lasting impact on the Wisconsin Assembly.”
