MADISON – Representative Jessie Rodriguez (R – Oak Creek) was re-elected unanimously by her colleagues on Tuesday to serve as Majority Caucus Secretary for the 2021-2022 biennium. This will be her fourth time serving the caucus in this capacity.

“It’s an honor to have the Assembly Republican Caucus place their trust in me to serve as their Caucus Secretary once again,” said Rep. Rodriguez. “It is a responsibility that I take on with integrity, discretion and transparency.”

The Caucus Secretary acknowledges milestone events in the lives of caucus members, mentors new legislators and staff, and assists the caucus chair and the caucus vice-chair whenever necessary.

“There is a lot of work ahead of us as we look to address the COVID-19 pandemic and the next biennial budget. I look forward to working with the members of the legislature as we find ways to tackle these problems,” said Rodriguez.

Jessie Rodriguez was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in a special election in 2013 and has been re-elected since 2014. She will begin her fifth term serving the 21st Assembly District on January 4, 2021.
