MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from former Dane County Supervisor Cynda Solberg, for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

“Today I am proud to announce an endorsement from Cynda Solberg,” said Sargent. “Cynda served Cottage Grove proudly, and has a proven record of working with others and getting things done, both on her time on the Dane County Board and beyond,” Sargent continued.

“I had the privilege of serving on the Dane County Board with Melissa Sargent for the two terms she was a Dane County Supervisor. During her time on the Dane County Board, Melissa always fought for the interests of her constituents, while also taking into consideration the concerns of the other Supervisors on the board, including those that may have differing opinions. While on the board, Melissa was the Chairperson for the Health and Human Needs Committee, where her dedication to the needs of the residents of Dane County was unwavering. Melissa bring the experience of being a small business owner, as well as running her father’s small business, which makes her aware of the needs of the business community,” said Solberg.

“It is truly an honor to be endorsed by Cnyda,” Sargent said. “In her time serving Dane County, Cynda brought people together to find solutions for Cottage Grove, our County, and our state. She now continues to serve our community in many ways, and is an unwavering leader. I am proud to have Cynda’s support,” said Sargent.
