MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

“Today I am proud to announce an endorsement from community leader and entrepreneur Jasmine Banks” said Sargent. “Jasmine works tirelessly to lift up others through many community based initiatives, and I am inspired by her mentorship and advocacy.”

Jasmine Banks is the CEO & Founder of Perfect Imperfections 608 a brand of handcrafted natural goods for the home and body. In addition, she works as a Strive Coordinator for Operation Fresh Start, a non-profit dedicated to providing comprehensive employment and training services to over 8,000 youth and adults in Dane County.

“Melissa Sargent’s views, values, and vision for the people of Wisconsin and beyond is the reason she is the best candidate for the job, and has my endorsement for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District. Her forward thinking, that is inclusive of all, is exactly what we need in the State Senate,” said Banks.
