MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from the Dane County Supervisor for the 12th Supervisory District, for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

“Today I am honored to announce an endorsement from Supervisor Paul Rusk,” said Sargent. “I have had the pleasure to work with Paul on the County Board and forward, as he represents a significant portion of the 48th Assembly District. From Maple Bluff and Northside neighborhoods to the Dane County Regional Airport, Madison College, and numerous businesses, Paul represents a vital part of Madison and serves the 12th Supervisory District diligently,” Sargent continued.

“I have worked with Melissa for many years and know her dedication to making government work for all of us. Her proven track record is our assurance of having an outstanding representative for the 16th Senate District. Melissa has consistently demonstrated the progressive values and leadership skills at both the local and state levels to move us forward. We can depend on her to speak for those whose voices often go unheard,” said Rusk. “Melissa not only has the leadership skills, but the true progressive values of fairness, equity and inclusion. We can count on her to continue making a positive difference for all of us,” he continued.
