MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from former Dane County chairwoman and current supervisor for the 26th Supervisory District Sharon Corrigan, for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

 

“Today I am honored to announce an endorsement from Sharon Corrigan,” said Sargent. “Sharon is a well-respected leader who has fought tirelessly for Dane County. She has a proven track record of facing the tough issues and providing pragmatic solutions, and has made great strides forward for Dane County,” Sargent continued.

 

“Melissa Sargent is one of the most tenacious and hardworking elected officials I have had the pleasure to know and work with over the years. During our shared tenure on the Dane County Board, Melissa fought ardently for her constituents and was committed to finding innovative solutions to better our community. Her time in the Wisconsin State Assembly has only further displayed this dedication, and I look forward to the outstanding work she will continue in the State Senate,” said Corrigan.
