Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement after the Assembly Republican majority caucus re-elected him as speaker for the 2021-2022 legislative session.

“I’m honored and humbled to be chosen again to serve as the Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly. I want to thank my colleagues for their vote of confidence today. With a strong 61-seat majority, I look forward to advancing our conservative priorities and protecting the Republican gains that we have made over the past decade.”

Speaker Vos is the 75th Assembly speaker in Wisconsin; this will be his fifth term as speaker. In early January, the Racine County representative will be the longest serving speaker in Wisconsin state history.
