“Fighting for Justice” Events Will Feature State Leaders and Activists and Call for Action on National Crises

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday will host two “Fighting for Justice” virtual town halls, featuring local leaders, activists and working people in Iowa and Wisconsin, to discuss the need for urgent Congressional action on the many crises facing the nation. The town halls follow Sanders’ events last weekend focused on Kentucky and West Virginia and will call on voters to hold Republican leaders accountable for their inaction.

Sanders’ Iowa town hall will feature Stacey Walker, Linn County Supervisor and Bernie 2020 Iowa Co-Chair; Cathy Glasson, president of SEIU Local 199 and former Iowa gubernatorial candidate; and panelists representing Iowa CCI Action Fund.

Sanders’ Wisconsin town hall will feature Rep. Mark Pocan, co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and other panelists to be announced.

Both town halls will be live-streamed at live.berniesanders.com and on Sanders’ social media pages.

Participants can be made available for interviews at the request of area media.
