MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from Gretchen Lowe for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:
“Today I am proud to announce an endorsement from Gretchen Lowe,” said Sargent. “Gretchen’s hard work has always distinguished her as a valuable leader in Madison.”
Gretchen Lowe is a community leader and AFSCME retiree of Local 720. Lowe is a member of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and has been part of the Seniors for Tammy coalition of over 200 Wisconsin seniors who have backed Senator Tammy Baldwin’s fight to protect their health care. Lowe is also a member of the East Side Progressives, who have held State Supreme Court Candidate forums and Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate forums.
“Melissa Sargent’s constant fight for working families has convinced me she is the best choice for State Senate. She walks with us. She’s what we need in these uncertain times,” said Lowe.
