MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from Dane County Supervisor Yogesh Chawla, for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

 

“Today I am honored to announce an endorsement from Supervisor Yogesh Chawla,” said Sargent. “Yogesh continues to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the Dane County Board. He is a beam of hope and positivity in our community, and continues to be a leader fighting for clean water, renewable energy, transportation solutions, affordable housing, and more” said Sargent.

 

“Melissa Sargent has been a policy leader in the State Assembly on issues like increasing the minimum wage, regulation and taxation of cannabis, and common sense gun safety legislation. She will be a leader in the State Senate, and will work diligently to win back both legislative chambers so we can implement a bold progressive agenda for the State of Wisconsin,” said Chawla.
