Neenah, WI. 10/26/2020 Over the weekend, my opponent, Rachael Cabral-Guevara made disturbing allegations on Facebook questioning the integrity of my campaign. She claims $115,000 in contributions (majority of which were in kind) that my campaign received from the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW) across the state and friends and neighbors who share the same values I do for better education, better healthcare, and fixing the COVID-19 problem, as contentious.

It’s disappointing that my opponent would question the fine people of Wisconsin who are participating in the political process. It’s also surprising that someone who has received similar support from her own party groups, The Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW), and the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (RACC) funds would question the legitimacy of this funding, when she herself has received similar party contributions. It is a well-known fact that the Cabral-Guevara Campaign escalated spending in the 55th when she received outside financial support for the Republican Primary alone (two funders of which are Virginia-based Make Liberty Win and Americans for Prosperity, both of which have
contributed a combined total of over $100,000 to her campaign to date.) This dark money, money that comes from groups that do not have to disclose their donors, is the exact dark money that Dan is fighting to remove from politics. Until we get a legislature that will pass rules against this kind of money in politics, the system will remain. The Schierls have campaigned since 2013 against this type of money in politics, and many Wisconsinites have voted to end this dark money that the Cabral-Guevara has
publicly supported. It’s presently being voted on in the Nov. 3 election in Winnebago County.
All the $115,000 Schierl Campaign contributions Cabral-Guevara campaign referenced came from the
Democratic Party and are fully documented in amounts, who gave it, and where they’re from. Further,
we are working hard for a victory, and we are pleased to announce that even more support has come in
since my opponent’s original post. We’ve received an additional $15,000 from ADCC.
