Madison – On Tuesday, the Assembly C0-chair of the Joint Committee on Finance, State Representative John Nygren, announced his resignation. State Senator Alberta Darling issued the following statement:
“Wisconsin is in better shape because of the efforts of John Nygren. His leadership has protected taxpayers, created an environment to grow jobs, and made our state a national leader in fighting the opioid crisis.
His HOPE agenda was more than a slogan – it provides real hope to people caught in addiction and for the people who love them. His work has undoubtedly saved many lives in Wisconsin.
I wish John well in his next adventure. I am proud of our work together as Co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Finance and of the many bills we authored. Most of all, I am proud to call John Nygren my friend.”
Senator Darling represents portions of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha Counties.
