MADISON – Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R—Juneau) and Senate President Roger Roth
(R—Appleton) issued the following statement regarding the announcement from Senate Chief Clerk Jeff Renk that he will retire at the end of the 2019-2020 legislative session:

“Jeff Renk has served as the Chief Clerk of the State Senate since 2012 and in several other roles in the state legislature in a career spanning 40 years. We thank him for his many years of service to this body, especially during the last eight years in his role as Chief Clerk. Jeff cares deeply about the institution and its members, which is evident by his election to the position by the full Senate in each of the last four legislative sessions. It was a pleasure working with Jeff, who provided non-partisan and professional service to members, staff, and the public. On behalf of the State Senate, we wish him well in his retirement next year.”
