Sheboygan Falls Mayor Randy Meyer was appointed to the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Board of Directors bringing his experience to the statewide governing body. The League serves Wisconsin’s cities and villages, providing advocacy, training and legal services.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to improve Wisconsin by advocating for cities and villages, while networking and learning new ideas from other leaders to improve Sheboygan Falls,” said Mayor Meyer.  “I look forward to working with my fellow leaders.”

Meyer joins peers from across the state on the 16-member League Board whose members represent cities and villages both large and small. The League is a membership organization.  Board members are drawn from the 189 cities and 405 villages who belong to the League.  The League’s governing body will be making decisions at a crucial time in the League’s 122-year history as the organization helps support Wisconsin’s cities and villages through the pandemic and looks to the future.

League President Todd Schmidt (Waunakee Village Administrator) is tremendously pleased that Mayor Meyer accepted the appointment. According to Schmidt, “The League Board is made up of a diverse, talented and committed group of local leaders. With this appointment we have added yet another skilled municipal official who is ready and willing to advocate for those who live in our State’s great cities and villages.”

Randy Meyer has served as Mayor of City of Sheboygan Falls since 2004.  Cancer took Randy’s eyesight at age 2, but that has not stopped him from achieving success in life.  Meyer operated a successful financial planning office for 20 years, now owns Meeting Planner Supplies with his wife Tammy and delivers motivational talks across the country.  He attributes his success to goal setting and a positive attitude.  His slogan is It doesn’t take sight to run a community, it takes a vision.
