Madison, WI – Margaret Wrenn Hickey and Odalo J. Ohiku have accepted nominations to run for 2021 State Bar of Wisconsin president-elect.

Both candidates are lawyers in Milwaukee. Hickey is a shareholder with Becker, Hickey & Poster, S.C.; Ohiku is deputy city attorney with the Milwaukee Office of the City Attorney.

The election is held in April 2020. The president-elect serves a one-year term before becoming president on July 1, 2022.

Additional State Bar Officer Candidates

The nominees for treasurer are Anu Chudasama, a litigator with Bassford Remele of Minneapolis, and Elizabeth Reeths, a litigator with Klinner Kramer Shull LLP of Wausau.

The candidates for Judicial Council representative are Samual C. Hall Jr., managing partner of Crivello Carlson, S.C., Milwaukee, and Margo S. Kirchner with Wisconsin Justice Institute Inc., Milwaukee.  

The candidates are nominated by the State Bar Nominating Committee. Committee members were appointed by State Bar President Kathleen Brost. Cheryl Daniels is the Bar’s current State Bar president-elect. She will succeed Brost as president on July 1, 2021.
