WISCONSIN 13TH ASSEMBLY DISTRICT – Gabriella Suliga, a senior at Marquette University is running for Wisconsin State Assembly to represent the 13th District. She is challenging Republican incumbent Rob Hutton who has held the seat since 2012. The district includes Elm Grove and parts of Wauwatosa, Milwaukee, West Allis, and Brookfield.

“It is time that we stand up against institutions that have failed to address our everyday issues,” Gabriella Suliga said. “I am running to fight for quality healthcare, small business development, and investment in education. It’s time we build a better Wisconsin for all.”

Gabriella is a former small business leader in the technology industry and was named 2019 Wisconsin Inno 25 Under 25. Prior to that, Gabriella worked for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin in Washington D.C. She is also a Certified Nurse Assistant and has advocated for nursing training programs across the country, an initiative she plans to prioritize if elected.

“The 13th District is home to Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, Medical College of Wisconsin, and many other facilities,” Gabriella said. “We need to create a safe and high-quality environment for patients and their families, and that begins by tackling health provider shortages state-wide.”

In addition to healthcare, Gabriella recognizes that education is a top priority for the district. “We have a responsibility to ensure our youth have access to quality education that sets them up for future success,” Gabriella said. She founded the Young Innovators program that advocates for innovation and entrepreneurship curriculum in Wisconsin high schools.

Gabriella has already been hard at work knocking on doors to meet voters and share her ideas and experiences with District 13 residents.

If you would like to meet Gabriella and learn more about her campaign, her kickoff will be at Vida Cafe 1205 S 70th St. West Allis on February 25th at 6:00 pm. For more information visit www.suligaforwi.com
