Rothschild, Wis. —  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of small businessman and U.S. Congressional Candidate Tom Tiffany on Thursday at Schuette Metals in Rothschild.

Statement by Ashlee Rich Stephenson, VP and National Political Director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce:

“At the U.S. Chamber we know good public policy starts by supporting great candidates. This means endorsing those who will champion legislation that will protect and grow the economy, while also fighting to remove burdensome regulations that stifle growth.  It is for these reasons and more the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse Tom Tiffany in the special election for Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District.  Tom is a proven leader with tremendous accomplishments standing up for the hardworking citizens of Wisconsin. Business and workers alike will benefit when Tom Tiffany is elected to the United States Congress.”

Statement by Kurt Bauer, President & CEO at Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce:

“Tom Tiffany is one of our biggest allies in the state when it comes to getting government out of the way so our main street manufacturers and businesses can thrive. Whether it’s cutting taxes, cutting red tape or cracking down on frivolous lawsuits, Tom Tiffany has a proven track record of fighting for Wisconsin. We know he will do the same in Washington, D.C. and are proud to endorse him.”

Statement by Tom Tiffany:

“As the former member of three chambers of commerce and board member of the Minocqua Chamber of Commerce, I am honored to have the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. At the state level, I’ve put my small business experience to work by cutting red tape, lowering the tax burden, and making it easier for entrepreneurs to thrive. Now, I’m running for Congress to continue that work with President Trump so that Wisconsin’s mom-and-pop shops and manufacturing companies can remain strong for generations to come.”

In addition to U.S. Chamber’s endorsement, Tom Tiffany has the support of Congressman Sean Duffy, Governor Scott Walker, Governor Tommy Thompson, Americans for Prosperity–Wisconsin, the National Rifle Association, Wisconsin Right to Life, Wisconsin Family Action, Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, as well as several state legislators and county sheriffs from Northern and Western Wisconsin.

The special primary election for the 7th Congressional District will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
