Minocqua, Wis. — The Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association announced its endorsement of Tom Tiffany’s U.S. Congressional campaign on Thursday.

Statement from Carl Schoettel, President of the Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association:

“We are proud to endorse Tom Tiffany to be the next congressman from the 7th District. He has a proven record of standing up for hunting rights, has been a champion for the Second Amendment, and is the loudest voice demanding the federal government delist the gray wolf so Wisconsin can manage its out-of-control predator damage. Tom has proven that in Congress he will continue to fight for the rights of sportsmen and women, work to promote youth hunting and ensure proper wildlife management.”

Statement from Tom Tiffany:

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association. Together, over the past several years, we have worked to promote and grow Wisconsin’s hunting heritage. I will continue working closely with them to stand up for sportsmen and guarantee our great hunting tradition lasts for generations to come. They can trust that one of my top issues in Congress will be delisting the gray wolf. It’s imperative that management is returned to the states, so our farmers and sportsmen no longer have to worry about the extremely high number of predators.”

In addition to this endorsement, Tom Tiffany has the support of Congressman Sean Duffy, Governor Scott Walker, Governor Tommy Thompson, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, Americans for Prosperity–Wisconsin, Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association as well as several state legislators and county sheriffs from Northern and Western Wisconsin.
