Republican Tom Tiffany’s first radio ad in his bid for the 7th CD features former Gov. Scott Walker, who says the lawmaker helped him balance the budget, cut taxes, defund Planned Parenthood and drain “the swamp in Madison.”

Tiffany’s campaign declined to release details of the buy other than to say it’s running throughout the northern Wisconsin district.

In the 60-second radio ad, Walker recounts Tiffany’s background and says “President Trump needs allies in Washington” as “radical liberals” try to undo the 2016 election, “just like they tried here in the recall.” Walker calls Tiffany “the only consistent, proven conservative” in the race.

“Tom Tiffany’s character and record are unwavering — pro-life, pro-gun and pro-Wisconsin worker, the kind of person you want on your side when the going gets tough,” Walker says.

Tiffany faces Jason Church, a retired Army captain and former aide to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, in the Feb. 18 primary.
