GREEN BAY, WI — Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) today joined farmers, agronomists, and conservationists for his fourth annual Save the Bay Field Day. The event included a tour of farms in Denmark and Greenleaf, both of which are using innovative strategies and technologies to improve their soils and improve water quality.
“Save the Bay Field Days are great opportunities for our community to come together and share their experiences with cutting edge, environmentally friendly farming practices,” said Rep. Gallagher. “Kane Farms and Brand Acres Beef prove that strengthening our farm economy and protecting our Great Lakes aren’t mutually exclusive goals, and I’m grateful they took the time to host today’s productive discussions and demonstrations on the innovative techniques they use.”
Kane Farms in Denmark and Brand Acres Beef in Greenleaf hosted today’s field day. During each visit, attendees learned about different techniques that protect topsoil.
