Less than a week ago, we celebrated National Nurses Week in the middle of a trying pandemic as our frontline health care workers continue playing a critical role in our efforts to defeat this devastating virus. I was encouraged to read firsthand accounts about the efforts of nurses at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee to protect our veterans. Congresswoman Moore applauds these efforts and released the following statement and letter to the director of the Zablocki VA Medical Center applauding the nursing staff:

“Our nurses are heroes on the front lines of this health crisis. I am so grateful to be able to hear directly about what this work entails so that the broader community can better understand the heroic work that is happening in our medical facilities across the state. Reading these firsthand accounts has deepened my respect even more for the health care workers risking their lives to provide care and treat individuals with COVID-19 and other life threatening illnesses.”
