MADISON, Wis. – In remembrance on the 19th anniversary of September 11, UW Health wants to thank our local Emergency Medical Services personnel and all first responders for the work they do on the frontlines responding to health emergencies in our communities with selflessness and expertise.
UW Health also wants to remember all the individuals and first responders who were lost on 9/11 as well as those that have lost their lives in the line of duty in the days and years that have followed. Their sacrifice and heroism are revered as much today as it was on that fateful day.
UW Health Emergency Education Center provides training to first responders including paramedics. Remarkable care doesn’t always start at the doors to our health system, but often with our paramedics, EMTs, first responders, police and firefighters in our communities.
The UW Health critical care transport program collaborates with physicians, hospitals and EMS agencies to make life-saving critical care available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via Med Flight helicopters and ground ambulances for all ages.
UW Health emergency physicians are proud to provide medical direction and support for multiple local EMS, Fire Department, and law enforcement agencies.
