HAGER CITY, WI – The NRA-PVF released their ratings on candidate support for the 2nd Amendment in Wisconsin’s 3rd District today, giving Derrick Van Orden an AQ rating and incumbent Ron Kind a D.

Derrick is an outspoken supporter of the 2nd Amendment, and his vocal support shows that Derrick is a strong ally for gun owners.

Ron Kind’s D grade indicates that he is “an anti-gun candidate who usually supports restrictive gun control legislation and opposes pro-gun reforms. Regardless of public statements, can usually be counted on to vote wrong on key issues.”

Derrick Van Orden released the following statement:

“After serving for 26 years in the Navy, I know the importance of protecting our individual liberties and fighting for gun owners. It is a fundamental right outlined by the founding fathers. Ron Kind’s rating on the other hand is further proof of what Wisconsin’s 3rd District has seen from this career politician: he may say he supports gun rights, but when push comes to shove, he sides with Nancy Pelosi and the radical left.”
