HAGER CITY, WI – This morning, in a debate with his primary opponent, Republican candidate Derrick Van Orden displayed the tested, proven leadership that will defeat Ron Kind in November.

In a debate hosted by Wisconsin Public Radio, Van Orden provided detailed outlines of his goals when elected to Congress, including being a voice against COVID-19 mandates, a strong defender of our sovereign borders, and an ardent supporter of Wisconsin’s farmers. Van Orden also noted he was a strong conservative who would never have signed the Walker recall petition like his primary opponent did.

A week after receiving an endorsement from Vice President Mike Pence, Van Orden made it clear that he is the only choice to beat Ron Kind in November.

“As a Navy SEAL, as a husband, father, and grandfather, as a small business owner and hobby farmer, I’m the only candidate in this race with tested, proven leadership,” said Van Orden. “Governor Walker and Vice President Pence agree with that, which is why they endorsed my campaign. Leadership counts. Experience counts. I have tested and proven leadership.”
