Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) delivers the GOP Weekly Radio Address on the Assembly Republican Coronavirus Relief Package.

Hello. I’m Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

Assembly Republicans recently put forward a legislative package to help the state address the spread of the coronavirus.

The legislation would double the number of local public health staff, enact legal protections for small businesses, and provide weekly rapid antigen tests for home use.

It also encourages school districts to better educate our kids and create legislative oversight of any new federal dollars.

The package gives new grants to small business and helps the unemployed who continue to wait for benefits due to the unemployment insurance backlog.

Our state needs a comprehensive response and that’s why it’s time to move the ball forward.

I’m confident that we can find bipartisan solutions on the issues that remain unsolved and pass legislation yet this year.
