The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Executive Director of the organization. The Executive Director must be willing to be located within one hour of Madison, Wisconsin. The individual must be ready to start on April 5, 2021 as an understudy to our current Executive Director and be prepared to assume the full position on July 5, 2021.
The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is comprised of over 200 sporting organizations in the state, in addition to individual members. The organization’s Mission is conservation education, largely focused on youth and conservation policy advocacy. The WWF is the Wisconsin affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. The position reports to the Federation Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The position has responsibility to oversee all operational aspects of the organization and is expected to be engaged in advocacy, membership recruitment, fund raising and public outreach and education.
The applicant must have a BA or BS degree in a natural resource, public administration or related public policy field and/or three-years-experience in natural resource management, executive public administration or executive public policy fields. The applicant must also have credible experience in outdoor recreational activities to include some combination of hunting, fishing and trapping and/or significant experience in managing wild populations of fish and wildlife. The individual must have a valid driver’s license recognized in the state.
