(MADISON, WI) — Today, Donald Trump tweeted his support for the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s judicial activism, which essentially rewrote the law to fit the agenda of the Republican led legislature as they overturned Gov. Evers’ stay-at-home order.
In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement:
“Donald Trump is a danger to Wisconsinites’ lives. His support of Wisconsin’s Supreme Court judicial activism, as they essentially rewrote the law to fit the agenda of the Republican-led legislature to overturn the governor’s stay-at-home order, will further put lives at risk. After encouraging people to drink household disinfectants, supporting protests against stay-at-home orders, and wasting valuable time by going on Twitter tirades, it’s clear Trump doesn’t care how many people die from this virus. Because of his actions, more than 83,000 Americans have lost their lives, and experts estimate that tens of thousands more will also fall to the Coronavirus because of Trump’s gross mismanagement of this crisis.”
