WEST BEND, Wis. — October 19, 2020 — Persist, a Wisconsin progressive women’s organization, and Wisconsin Women for Biden are hosting a virtual grassroots Weekend of Action event Oct. 23-25 to mobilize women voters in Wisconsin to elect Joe Biden.
Wisconsin is the battleground state most likely to determine the next president. Whoever wins Wisconsin will win the election. Whoever wins the election will determine the future of women’s rights.
This event is open to participants across the nation. The weekend will feature powerful speakers, celebrities and musicians, including GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Vanessa Carlton and Lady Bird actress Beanie Feldstein. More special guests will be announced soon.
Access to all events is free and included with volunteer registration where participants commit to a two-hour block of phone banking or postcard writing to women voters in Wisconsin.

Persist also will be debuting a mini-documentary on Tuesday highlighting the stories of four progressive women from deeply red Washington County, Wisconsin and their desire to move Wisconsin forward on issues like racism, sexism, and the Coronavirus pandemic.
