7th CD Dem candidate Tricia Zunker today released her first TV ad of the general election, calling GOP rival Tom Tiffany bad for our health and economy.
Zunker’s campaign didn’t release details on where the ad was running or how much it was spending on the buy ahead of the May 12 special election. A GOP source said it was a $35,000 buy on Wausau TV.
The spot opens with the narrator calling Zunker, a Ho-Chunk Supreme Court justice and president of the Wausau School Board, a “community leader we can trust to put politics aside and deliver on healthcare and jobs when we need it most.”
The ad then shifts to knock Tiffany, saying he opposes the law that protects patients with pre-existing conditions, adding they’re most at risk for COVID-19.
“And he spoke against the bipartisan bill signed by President Trump to help small businesses hit hard by the pandemic,” the narrator says to close the spot. “Tom Tiffany: Bad for our health and economy.”
